The **Condor Hudson Bay Knife 240-8.5HC** is a solid fixed knife, based on the classic Hudson Bay knives. In the nineteenth century these types of knives were widely used in the south of Canada. Around the Hudson Bay, as the name might already suggest.

 With a 21.4 cm blade this knife is quite large. The blade thickness of approximately 4.8 mm is also quite substantial. It is an all-round camping knife. To build a fire or perhaps even shelter.

 This knife is made for all-round outdoor use. The blade is enhanced with a flat grind. The edge is remarkable: it has a primary scandi grind, but with a convex finish. This is also called a 'scandivex'. As such you can benefit from the advantages of a scandi and convex grind at the same time. Great for wood work.

 The blade of the Condor Hudson Bay Knife is made from 1095 carbon steel. A strong type of steel that is easy to sharpen and can handle quite a bit. 1095, however, is not completely stainless. As such you need to clean it regularly and add a drop of oil once in a while. The knife has a strong full-tang construction. This means that the thickness of the blade runs throughout the entire handle.

 The handle is made from walnut wood. The scales are secured with brass pins. It takes care of the classic look and feel. The hammered blade also contributes to this.

 The Condor Mini Hudson Bay Knife comes in a traditional leather sheath with a belt loop that has enough room for belts up to 7.2 cm.
