The Fallkniven Mod. G1 is a modern double-edged fighting knife for military needs.  
 Despite of its small size, it is the strongest concept in its class.  
The G1 is the only mass-produced fighter with a thick blade made of the famous VG10 stainless steel, making the blade very strong with exceptional edge holding ability.  
 The blade is covered with black CeraCoat 8H to eliminate reflections and corrosion and the symmetric Thermorun rubber handle insures the best possible grip.  

The zytel sheath provides a safe carry with full access to the knife.  
 It can be worn around your neck.  

The G1 knife is NOT meant for throwing - a double-edged tip is extremely sharp but is not as tough as a standard single-edged tip.  

Garm was the name of the dog that whatched the gates to hell in the Old Norse mythology.

Na eerdere zeer goede ervaringen met Fallkniven is dit toch een beetje een tegenvaller.
De vorm van het mes is enigzins a-symmetrisch, wat het niet zou moeten zijn, ook is de breedte van de bevel niet overal hetzelfde. De schede rammelt behoorlijk en is erg dik. 
Voor mij beoogde doel voldoet het mes, maar voor de kritische verzamelaar lijkt het mij onvoldoende. 

Schitterend mes(je). Is iets kleiner dan ik verwacht had maar als back up wapen ideaal. Wel grote schede voor zo'n klein mesje. Collega's waren onder de indruk. Kreeg wel de tip om er nog een te bestellen ! De productie is gestopt en het wordt een verzamel object. De prijs zal navenant zijn. KOPEN dus ! Ofwel om te gebruiken, om te verzamelen of allebei.

Handzaam dolkje voor de verzameling. Standaard kunststof schede die voldoet. Het met rammelt wel. 
Mooie afwerking van het lemmet en de Garm ligt lekker in de hand. 
Bruikbaarheid is beperkt. De Garm is vlijmscherp, maar snijden is lastig door de dikte van het lemmet en het feit dat beide zijden van het lemmet scherp zijn.
Dozen en brieven dus, maar dat wist ik. Ik ben tevreden.
Gezien het primaire doel van de Garm, mag hij niet mee naar buiten. 

Inderdaad een klein tactisch mes. Kwalitatief erg goed met o.a. VG10 staal. Is wel erg licht en klein. Dit heeft natuurlijk weer als voordeel dat je dit mes zelfs in een beetje binnenzak kunt meenemen. Omdat het een dolk is, blijft de functionaliteit als gereedschap beperkt. Maar dat is op voorhand al duidelijk. Stevig aan de prijs, maar dat is bij fallkniven bekend.

Een van de mooiste in zijn soort.In het echt nog mooier dan op de foto.Schitterend mes. De levering was ook weer perfect zoals verwacht.
