The **Fenix HM70R** head torch is enhanced with a powerful 21700 battery. As such the light produces a beam with a maximum output of no less than 1600 lumens! This battery also ensures that the Fenix HM70R has an average burn time of 100 hours when you use it in the low mode of 30 lumens. The Fenix HM70R has three light modes: a powerful white beam to cross large distances, a white beam with high colour rendition and a red light. Because of these options this head torch is great when working at a construction site, for search and rescue ops and outdoor adventures. 

Hold the large, glove-friendly switch to switch to the Functional mode for neutral white light, a red reading light or red flashing light. This red light is great if you want to read in the dark without losing your night vision. The headband is enhanced with reflectors for additional safety. This light can handle its own, it can even survive a fall of up to 2 metres. The battery indicator, the intelligent memory and the lock-out-function complete this Fenix head torch.

  * High: 500 lumens, burn time of approx. 6 hours
  * Medium: 150 lumens, burn time of approx. 30 hours
  * Low: 30 lumens, burn time of approx. 100 hours

  * High Neutral: 400 lumens, burn time of approx. 8 hours

  * Medium Neutral: 70 lumens, burn time of approx. 48 hours

  * Red light: 5 lumens, burn time of approx. 400 hours

  * Red flashing light: 5 lumens, burn time of approx. 800 hours 

  * *The burn time of the highest light mode is calculated at the moment the lamp is switched on in the highest mode. After 2-3 minutes, the light automatically switches to a lower mode due to the temperature regulation.

## Charging the Fenix HM70R

The USB-C port is safely located behind a screw cap, as such you won't damage the light when it comes in contact with water. It takes approx. 4 hours to charge the battery.

Dit is een hoofdlamp met veel kwaliteit: voelt zeer degelijk, functioneert goed en handig met slechts één knop te bedienen. Week gebruikt zonder problemen op de camping en in de grotten. Sterke lichtkracht max. en diverse instelmogelijkheden. Ook het rode licht is handig om wel te zien waar je loopt of om iets te pakken, maar je raakt niet te wakker. Kortom blij met de aanschaf. Verzendig was erg vlot en goed verpakt.

Toplamp. Voldoet helemaal. 

Ik las ergens een review van iemand die het irritant vond dat bij het inschakelen vd functional mode (floodmode) de lamp niet naar de laatst ingestelde setting schakelt. Ik vind dat juist een groot voordeel: in de functional mode wordt altijd het rode licht ingeschakeld. Zo verlies je je nachtzicht niet……iets wat mogelijk wel gebeurd als de lamp ingeschakeld zou worden op de laatst gebruikte setting. 

Als ik dan toch moet zeuren: 
- Bij mijn oude HL 55 was de band die over het hoofd loopt heel makkelijk te (ont)koppelen. Het is mij een raadsel waarom dat systeem niet is overgenomen bij de HM70R, dat is niet echt gebruiksvriendelijk
- lichttemp had van mijn iets minder wit mogen zijn. 

Nog een ander groot nadeel: ik moet mijn zaklamp nu wel gaan upgraden want licht daarvan verdwijnt in de bak licht die de HM70R produceert ;-)

Heb de hoofdlamp nu enkele weken. Werkt goed en is fel als het nodig is.

Haven't used a head torch before but this one has been great, really bright when walking in the pitch black. Expensive but worth it I think.
