The Helle Nying is a remarkable outdoor knife with a short blade and a large handle. The short blade is enhanced with a stainless steel core, laminated between two layers of 18/8 stainless steel. This core has a razor-sharp edge and is easy to sharpen. Even though this knife is quite compact the large handle offers enough grip. Even if you have large hands. The curly birch of the handle makes the knife look amazing.


The knife comes with a traditional Scandinavian leather sheath.


## Maintenance


Both the handle and the blade need to be dried with a soft towel if they get wet. We also recommended occasionally adding wax or oil.


The sheath should occasionally be impregnated with a colourless agent (grease or wax) to make sure it stays flexible. Dry the sheath carefully at room temperature if it gets wet.



All Helle knives are made and finished by hand. As such each knife is a unique masterpiece because every pattern is different.

You must be very consious of the capabilities (excellent as a neck knife due to sheath design) and limitations (rather short blade) of the knife to justify purchasing and owning it. The looks (fantastic sheath, handle material) are the strong points, and if you have a use for it, you just found your perfect knife.
