Great stone for the price, cuts fast. polishes well. But with most high grit stones it clogs up verry fast. So a dressing stone is handy for this one. It is verry thin and really smooth feeling. Gets my filetting knives scary sharp combined with a fine compressed leather strop. All in all a really good polishing stone for the peice. Mirror finish without a question

Nature is the best

I bought this stone to hone a straight razor. Its provided a mirror finish to the edge, with a quick strop it will cut hair without any pressure needed. I can't wait to move my lower grit stones to a higher quality that Naniwa holds.

Great stone for my Straight Razor. I use it after my 4000/8000 stones and then finish off with my Belgian Blue before stopping. Fast delivery and great service.

Product is great for bringing a mirror polish to straight razors. If however you require something for a razor which is tugging you'll better with something in the 8000 grit range as the 12,000 grit stone will take some time to restore sharpness.
