I would recommend this product, but think its best to research how best to use the product first, if used correctly I think it will last for years. Be careful not to go to steep on to the block as you can take chunks out of it. Also I used this product in conjuction with other finer grade stones as this stone is needed when the knife has really been left to get very blunt.
