The Opinel pocket knife is a renowned, yet really affordable pocket knife, ideal for everyday use. It is available in a variety of sizes ranging from small to fairly large.  
  


The larger models feature the simple yet effective Virobloc safety twistlock mechanism, which allows the blade to be locked in both the open and the closed positions. This pocket knife is a classic in the true sense of the word.  
  


The blade of this knife is made of carbon steel. It is very easy to sharpen and hone to a thin edge, making it razor sharp, yet very strong. Carbon steel is more susceptible to rust than stainless steel and therefore needs to be cleaned properly and kept dry. If you prefer an Opinel knife with a rust-resistant blade, you can use the knives with stainless steel.
  
  
This knife cannot be etched since it is manufactured from high-carbon steel. The result does not meet our requirements.

das beste messer zum semmerl aufschneiden fürs hotel. da passt auch die grösse. besitze schon ca. 8 opinel von klein bis groß, alle sind super.

I bought this knife for cutting plug pipe tobacco and on the website it looked like the real deal. And it is. It's nice to look at as well. It's sturdy and extremely sharp! I give the company 5 stars and would buy from them again.

Dit kleine type zakmes is ideaal om mee te nemen in je zak of tas voor onderweg.

The only problem is that you can’t put the secure. That maybe could seem not necessary counting the dimension but it would actually be better to have it.
