The **Real Steel Sidus** is the result of a cool cooperation between Real Steel and Jakub Wieczorkiewicz from Poltergeist Works. This isn't the first time Real Steel cooperates with Poltergeist Works, so it's not surprising. Each cooperation results in a great knife! 

You open the Real Steel Sidus with the thumb hole after which a solid liner lock holds the blade in place. The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a robust type of steel that can handle its own. However, be careful around moisture and acids: D2 is not completely stainless. Make sure to dry well after use.

The handle is made from micarta, which provides plenty of grip. The cool thing about micarta is that it forms a patina over time. What's striking about the construction of the Real Steel Sidus is the choice of only two screws to keep the whole together. Because of the size of the screws, they still offer enough stability in combination with the backspacer. Another great feature is that you can see straight through the screws, just like the customs of Poltergeist. These scales are rounded for a comfortable grip over the knife.

Minpunt was bij het mes die ik heb gekregen dat het mes niet netjes gecentreerd in het handvat staat als het mes gesloten is en waardoor hij ook stroef open gaat.
Verder ben ik er wel erg blij mee.

Das grüne Micarta greift sich super an, die Klinge gleitet sanft aus dem Griff und ist in der Tat "sauscharf"! Der Klingenrücken eignet sich überdies zur Feuerstahlbedienung. Der Liner rastet einwandfrei ein und stört überhaupt nicht, da er fast im Griff verschwindet.
Dieser Kauf war in meinem Fall aufgrund des überaus günstigen Preises getrieben (statt 74 nur 34 Euro). 
Damit geht das Messer in meine Sammlung!

Das Sidus ist insgesamt ein solides, preis-/leistungs-orientiertes Taschenmesser, das sich gut eignet für Alltag (allerding nicht $42a), EDC, leichte Schneidaufgaben und Nutzer, die ein robustes Messer mit guter Ergonomie suchen — ohne viel Geld auszugeben.
