The **Robert Herder red beech wood turning knife** follows in the footsteps of Robert Herder's famous mill knives. This turning knife is ideal for peeling fruit and vegetables. It can also be used for various other small cutting jobs. The carbon steel used for the blade is not stainless, so it needs to be treated with care. This means it must be cleaned and dried by hand after use. The handle is made from red beech wood, seamlessly attached to the blade with three rivets.

Come tutti i coltelli Robert Herder, si tratta di un'ottima lana molata a mano, abbinata però ad un manico poco rifinito (ma pure funzionale). Questo modello in particolare è uno dei pochi spelucchini con lama di acciaio al carbonio. Necessita naturalmente di maggiore manutenzione e cura rispetto all'inox, ma offre ottime caratteristiche di taglio e durata del filo, che permettono di distinguersi nelle lavorazioni lontano dal tagliere (in mano). Da quando ho questo coltello, difficilmente utilizzo altri spelucchini ricurvi in mio possesso, riesco semplicemente meglio nelle lavorazioni di precisione.

Eindelijk het mesje gevonden wat ik zocht, wat ik nu gebruikte was best aan vervanging toe. Dit had ik ooit op een braderie gekocht maar waar koop ik er nu weer zo een.

Is een scherp mes maar roest al na het één keer gebruikt te hebben .

Dit is het beste schilmes dat je kunt vinden. Ligt goed in de hand, en snijdt geweldig goed. Fantastisch voor het schillen van bijv. aardappelen, appels of ander fruit. Is ook uitstekend voor het snijden van paprika's, uien of champignons en dergelijke.

Blijft ontzettend lang scherp, alleen je moet hem wel goed afdrogen en opbergen wil je roestvorming voorkomen.

Elke cent meer dan waard.
