The name Yatagan is a reference to a Turkish scimitar. It is clear where this reference comes from. The curved blade of this kitchen knife is suitable for rocking while cutting. As the blade is long and not too high, this knife is very easy and light to handle. Of course this utility knife features a traditional thin blade. The famous ' Solinger Dünnschliff '. Combined with the carbon steel, which is commonly used by Robert Herder, also this knife has the fantastic cutting qualities known to this brand.  
  


The down side of carbon steel, is that it's not rust resistant. That means that this knife should be treated with care. Cleaning and drying immediately after use, increases the life span. If you treat this knife in the right way then this is a sublime utility knife.

Yagatan maakt het snijden van vlees, vis en groenten tot een feest. Het mes is niet te groot en is erg licht in gewicht. Met name mijn vrouw is daar erg blij mee omdat het ook in haar kleine hand zich vaardig laat hanteren. De punt bleek zeer handig bij het uitsnijden van de botten van lamsboutschijven. 

Mooi vormgegeven ligt goed in de hand snijdt goed.houdt de scherpte goed vast.

Ik was al fan van de molenmesjes, en dit is z'n grote broer. Hiermee splijt ik zonder probleem hele bloemkolen, rode kolen, en grote ronde broden. Daarnaast heeft het mes een mooi machete-uiterlijk.

Ik heb dit mes al jaren en er is voor mij  geen betere.
Vooral de kromming is erg handig,ik snijd er alles mee.
Het mes is superscherp je kan er zelfs diepvries spul mee snijden evenals groenten vlees brood enz enz.
Ik heb dit mes dan ook aan mijn zoon kado gedaan.
Jammer dat dit mes niet erg bekend is wand hij is erg goed en erg betaalbaar voor een mes van deze kwaliteit.
