The Manix 2 XL is the taller version of the Manix 2. It is a tall knife with a so-called Ball Bearing Lock. This contains a freely moving ball in a plastic ' cage '. This ball inside the plastic ' cage ', blocks the knife, leaving zero room for backlash. Because of the self-adjusting system, the knife remains backlash-free.   
  


The blade is made of S30V steel and provided with ridges on the top for extra grip of the thumb. The G10 handle parts provide a good grip, even in wet conditions. The curved back of the handle of the knife offers different ways to hold it.  
   


The pocket clip can be mounted in 2 ways.

Always wanted a spyderco knife since I first heard of them. To say the least this knife meets expectations and then some. However it is a little expensive I think, but you do get what you pay for. Overall, this is a start to my spyderco knife collection journey since, I'll be buying another knife from them soon. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!

Mes ging in eerste instantie aardig open en dicht maar toen ik hem iets sneller opende blokkeerde het mechanisme, moest hem met moeite openmaken met twee vingers. Misschien makkelijk op te lossen maar van een mes in deze prijsklasse verwacht ik dat niet, dus direct retour gestuurd. Goede service geen probleem geld terug.

Il marche très bien il est solide, léger, agréable.
amélioration facile selon moi : la tige de la cage de la bille, il faut recouper/poncer 0.5mm de long pour que le déverouillage soit plus agréable. 
j'ai également coupé une partie du ressort pour qu'il soit plus doux.
