LionSteel introduces new blades and wins prestigious award at Blade Show 2024

At the Blade Show 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, LionSteel presented two impressive new knives and also won the prestigious 'Manufacturing Quality Award'. We'd love to tell you more about the new LionSteel Twain and LionSteel Ago.

LionSteel Twain

LionSteel Twain: innovative button lock

The first newcomer is the LionSteel Twain, a button-lock knife that stands out with its double integral construction. The handle is made of one piece of titanium. Now, we see this quite often, but in this case an integral backspacer has also been placed over it. That really is a novelty! This knife is available in several versions, including a striking handle made from Green Canvas Micarta and various carbon fibre options.

The blade, made of the high-quality CPM MagnaCut steel, measures about 7.6 cm and has an almost completely flat grind. This combination ensures excellent performance in everyday use. The deep-carry pocket clip, although not reversible, is practical and discreet. Thanks to the thumb hole, the Twain offers smooth and reliable action. This is LionSteel's first pocket knife with button-lock mechanism. Although, that's only if we don't count the MKM Miura, also produced by LionSteel, for the sake of convenience.

LionSteel Ago

LionSteel Ago: stylish gentleman's fixed-blade knife

The second introduction is the LionSteel Ago, a fixed blade knife with a sophisticated look. Like the Willy, the Ago was designed by Italian knife maker Gianluigi 'Wilson' Simonellla. The blade of this knife is made of M390 steel and has a length of just over 7.6 cm. The slim profile makes this knife perfect for precision work and everyday use.

The handle of the Ago is a feat of craftsmanship, with a titanium bolster and a handle available in various materials such as white linen Micarta, black G10, Green Canvas Micarta, carbon fibre, various woods, and burlap Micarta. The knife offers a comfortable grip for both three- and four-finger positions, depending on hand size.

Innovation and craftsmanship

In addition to the introduction of these new knives, LionSteel won the prestigious 'Manufacturing Quality Award' at the Blade Show 2024, recognising their excellence in manufacturing quality.

We expect the LionSteel Ago and Twain to be available later this year.
