The Bark River Bravo Necker is a neck knife version of the famous Bravo. A compact and fine knife that can do quite a lot. As you have grown accustomed to from Bark River the Bravo Necker also feels great in hand. Especially for a knife that is so compact in its sheath. The Bravo Necker looks a lot like the Bravo Necker II, the blade length of the Bravo Necker, however, is a lot more modest. A nice EDC knife, but also for smaller hunting tasks the Bravo Necker will have your back.
The blade is made from CPM 154CM. A premium type of stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. As you might expect from Bark River the knife is razor-sharp. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by stropping it.
The handle is made from Desert Ironwood. A type of hardwood mainly found in the United States and Mexico. Characterizing is the beautiful colour and the rich pattern. This great type of wood makes the knife look extra luxurious.
The Bark River Bravo Necker comes with a remarkable, leather neck sheath. It has been enhanced with two lanyard eyes you can loop a neck cord through. As such you can discretely and comfortably carry it around your neck. To make sure the Necker doesn't fall from its sheath it is enhanced with a strong magnet. It will ensure the knife stays in place. Bark River, however, does warn that because of the magnet the knife cannot be worn around your neck if you have a pacemaker.
Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
