The Benchmade 522 Presidio Ultra PE is a good and solid pocket knife, designed by Mel Pardue. The handle is made of Noryl GTX, a glass-reinforced nylon. The hefty handle offers an excellent grip. The blade is made of 440C-steel, which has excellent value for money. This is true for the rest of the knife as well.

1st impressions this is an excellent ECD. great service from knives and tools easy to navigate site. The knife arrived promptly and was well packaged. The knife is excellent great to handle and well balanced and sharp very pleased with both the knife and the service will definitely will use them again

De 522 presido is een robuust mes wat duidelijk voor professioneel gebruik is. Het bestaat niet uit heel exotische materialen, maar de fit & finish is  erg  goed van dit mes. Het blad schiet soepel uit het handvat en heeft dankzij het axis lock een muurvaste vergrendeling. 
Geen enkele blade play en het blad is perfect uitgelijnd. 
Zoals ik al zei, is het materiaal niet heel exotisch,  maar het 440-C staal is eigenlijk redelijk te vergelijken met o.a VG-10 staal en is dus vrij makkelijk erg scherp te krijgen en houd zijn scherpte redelijk goed en is behoorlijk roestvrij. 
Het zogenaamde noryl gtx kunststof van het handvat zit degelijk op de liners vast wat het geheel erg sterk  maakt.

al met al een top  mes wat zeker een stootje kan hebben.
En wederom goede service van K&T.
