The **Benchmade Hidden Canyon Hunter 15016-2** is a compact and light-weight hunting knife, which can also be used as an EDC knife. At first glance this knife might seem too small to gut deer and other game. However, when you hold it you notice that the ergonomics and usability of the knife were carefully thought through. Because of the large 'belly' on the edge you can separate skin from flesh like it is butter.

 The blade is made from CPM S30V-steel. This is a stainless type of powder steel. It is one of the few types of steel that was specifically designed to be used for knives. It retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. Benchmade used Dymondwood for the handle. This is a brand name of stabilized wood that is constructed of little layers and drenched in synthetic resin. As such you have the warm look and feel of wood, and the solidity of plastic.

 The Benchmade Hidden Canyon Hunter comes with a nice leather belt sheath. It is made as such that you can carry it horizontally on your belt. As such you barely notice that you are carrying it with you, while it is always there when you need it.
