The Böker Försternicker Cocobolo 121517 is a classic hunting knife that has been a part of the Böker range for years. This version is an update of the classic design of that Nicker. Böker, for instance, used a different type of steel. Namely, Böhler N690. This is a very stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. Also easy to sharpen which is great if you use it intensively.
The handle is made from stunning cocobolo wood. A tropical type of wood that looks amazing. On both sides the scales are flanked by nickel silver bolsters. They make the Böker Fösternicker look even fancier.
The shape of the blade is enhanced with an even larger 'belly'. As such it is great when gutting game. At the same time it is also versatile enough for many other tasks while hunting. When you look at the spine of the blade you can tell how much attention Böker has paid to finishing the knife. Even the subtle jimping is enhanced with a small radius, making it feel even better.
The Böker Försternicker comes with a leather belt sheath. It has room for belts up to 6.5 cm.
