The **Böker Plus Exskelibur I Framelock Steel 01BO137** is a slim pocket knife for daily use, designed by Mike Skellern. This South-African designer is known for his slim pocket knives enhanced with front flipper. As such you can also easily and quickly open this pocket knife with the front flipper.



The front flipper is a part of the blade that sticks out of the handle when closed. Due to the subtle grip serrations, also known as jimping, you have enough grip with your thumb or index finger to launch the blade. The ball bearings around the pivot ensure that the blade moves smoothly.



The handle is made from G10 and stainless steel. The show side is made from G10 and the lock side from stainless steel. The steel side is enhanced with a solid framelock to make sure the blade stays in place when opened.



The blade is made from D2. A tough type of steel that retains its sharpness well. For years D2 has been a reliable choice for different tools. The only thing you need to take into account is that D2 isn't completely stainless. So clean it after use and occasionally add a drop of oil. The result is that the Böker Plus Exskelibur I Framelock will last for years to come!

Ich habe dass Messer gekauft da ich das alte Modell mit 440C Klinge habe. Mit dieser war ich aber nicht zufrieden weswegen ich mir die D2 Variante geholt habe.

Nun zum Fazit.
Die Klinge ist super. Sehr gute Schärfe. Sehr gute Schnitthaltigkeit. Die Verarbeitung ist wie gewohnt sehr gut. Der Linerlock schließt leicht und sicher.
Abzüge gibt es persönlich für mich beim Aufbau. Das ganze Messer ist sehr flach gebaut im Gegensatz zu seinem Vorgänger. Daher ist der Preis für meinen Geschmack zu hoch. Aber so ist und war es schon immer bei Böker.
