Full description
The Casström Woodsman Knife is a bush craft knife for people who often work with wood. After all, the scandi grind has been applied to the blade for that exact reason. The knife is designed by Roger Harrington, a bushcraft trainer who started in his trainings in 1996. Like all Casström knives this knife feels great in hand.
The blade is made from Böhler K720 steel, a type of tool steel similar to O2 steel. Easy to sharpen and very tough. Good to know: after use you need to add a layer of oil to the blade as K720 isn’t stainless. This edition has been enhanced with a scandi grind. As such the blade is a little thicker and the edge a little more suited for woodwork.
The handle is made from exquisite Curly Birch. Casström stabilized this wood to make it as sustainable as possible. A black liner has been placed in between the wood and the handle.
The Casström Woodsman Knife comes with a decent leather sheath enhanced with a belt loop for belts up to (approximately) 6.5 cm.
