Full description
The Cold steel 36LPMC Pendleton Mini Hunter is the smaller version of the famous Pendleton Hunter. This knife is the result of a cooperation between Lynn C Thompson from Cold Steel and knife maker Lloyd Pendleton. Its indestructible blade is very special. It is made from CPM3V steel. This super steel is exceptionally hard, stays sharp for a long time and is very easy to sharpen. The black DLC coating makes the blade even harder and very scratch resistant. The Kray-Ex handle is shaped in such a way that the knife can be held in many ways and almost sticks to your hand because of the good grip.
This knife comes with a solid Secure Ex sheath. This can be mounted for both left-handed and right-handed use.

Excellent little lightweight knife. 76 grams in the sheath (after removing the belt loop) makes this a great little pocket fixed blade or lightweight backpacking knife. I can also attest to the toughness of the 3V steel as I dropped it on a tile floor, my own stupid mistake, and the edge only rolled at one spot. Many other steels would have chipped when run this hard (HRC of 60 is what most people seem to think Cold Steel have on their 3V). It's not a perfect knife though. The grind on the secondary bevel is not perfect and it appears to have a very slight recurve at the sharpening choil. The kratom handle is comfortable and very utilitarian , but it does seem to have a small gap around the blade tang that could collect some residue from food etc. I don't expect this to be real problem, although it is a slight annoyance.
