The **CRKT Mossback Hunter** is a cool hunting knife, designed by Tom Krein. To gut game and for other tasks while hunting. The narrow and thin blade ensures that you can work precisely with the Mossback. The ridges on the spine of the blade contribute to this. They namely take care of extra grip for your thumb, giving you a lot of control over the knife as you use it.

 The blade is made from SK5 carbon steel. This type of steel is not corrosion resistant, but is protected by a black powder coating. The handle is made from G10. A strong composite material that is wear and tear resistant and weighs next to nothing. Tom Krein is a master when it comes to comfortable handles. Because of the rounded scales and the well-thought out design the Mossback Hunter feels comfortable in hand. A royal lanyard hole was tactically placed at the end of the handle. It can be used to attach a lanyard. Practical if you want to make the handle longer, or to hang a bright-coloured lanyard from to make sure you won't lose your knife in the wild.

 The Mossback comes with nylon belt sheath. The maximum belt width in this sheath is 6.0 cm. The knife fits deep into the sheath to make sure it won't fall out as easily.

Ik kocht dit mes om wild te ontweiden. Het mes is aan de kleine kant, wat erg prettig werkt in het karkas. Ook bij het villen ligt het mes heel prettig in de hand door zijn licht gebogen vorm en groefjes boven op het lemmet. Zoals ik gewend ben van CRKT is de afwerking zeer goed. De coating op het lemmet ligt er wat dik op misschien. Het staal is niet zo geweldig, na twee of drie reeën moest hij echt wel weer geslepen worden. Al bij al een prima mes voor een prima prijs.
