The **Gerber US Assist** is a light-weight pocket knife with a heavy assisted opening. Bold, elegant and sleek. However, at the same time compact enough to not stand out in your pocket. Designed and produced in Portland, Oregon, USA. A true USA made Gerber!


The US Assist is a wonderful pocket to use on a daily basis. Whether you open a lot of boxes or peel your apple on a daily basis: the US Assist will assist you. With a 7.8 cm blade it isn’t too big, perfect to not scare people who don’t like knives. At the same time it is capable enough to help you with everyday tasks.


Gerber has chosen 420HC steel for this knife, an American type of steel which can easily be sharpened and retains its sharpness. Stainless, so it can easily withstand the elements. To open the blade you use the double thumb stud. When opening the blade the strong assisted opening will help out a bit. This is a spring that will make sure the knife opens quickly. The *B.O.S.S. Tech* ball bearings ensure that the blade doesn’t only open quickly, but also that it moves smoothly.


The prevent the knife from closing you block it. A type of button lock: simply a button you push to unlock it. It doesn’t get any easier than that. To prevent it from opening when you don’t want it to the blade has been enhanced with a second lock that will secure the blade when it is closed.


A good and firm grip is key when you own a razor-sharp knife. For this reason Gerber has made the handle from FRN, a glass reinforced nylon that is very light-weight and incredibly strong. Because of the subtle grip lines on the side of the handle your hands won’t slip.


To carry the Gerber US Assist in your pocket you can use the included pocket clip. The pocket clip is placed over the edge of your pocket and prevents you from losing your knife.
