I had high expectations for this knife... It came rather dull out of the box, but I got around that with a stone and some stropping. I just wanted to mention it, because it may say something about Ka-Bar's QC. The knife works for both right and left handed persons, but the the thumb stud needs to be mounted for either right- or left handed use. That is annoying, because 30% of the times I open my knife with my non dominant hand. The build seem sturdy enough for normal EDC tasks and the fitting is fine too. Edge retention is ok. Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against this knife in particular. I just don't get the hype..
