The **Kershaw Highball XL 7020** is, as the name might already suggest, the big brother of the Highball 7010. Still a slim and stylish pocket knife, for an amazing price, but slightly bigger. The Highball XL was designed as a two-handed opener with a nail nick. However, after some practice you can also easily open it with one hand.



The Matt-grey look of the Highball XL is complemented by bright-blue accents around the pivot on both sides of the handle. Nice details that make the Highball XL look even better. With its 8.4 cm long blade the Highball XL is a nice medium-sized knife. The handle is also not that thick to make sure you hardly feel it in your pocket.



The blade is made from D2 steel. A tough and rock-solid type of steel that retains its sharpness well. The only thing you need to take into account is that D2 steel is not completely stainless. After coming into contact with moisture, acids and salts you need to clean and dry it.

Ik heb een tijdje lopen twijfelen of ik dit mes zou kopen. Maar oh boy, wat had ik die knoop eerder moeten doorhakken. Wat een super mes is dit!
Normaal gesproken vind ik 110gr te veel voor een edc mes. Door de deep carry clip en het slanke ontwerp heb je toch niet het idee een bulky mes bij je te hebben. Het lemmet laat zich prima scherp slijpen en behoudt de scherpte zoals je dat mag verwachten. 
Qua uiterlijk vind ik het een schitterend mes. De kleurstelling is fraai met mooie blauwe accenten. Het voelt ook best premium aan. Dat hebben ze goed gedaan ondanks de gebruikte materialen. Verder is het een solide mes zonder horizontale en verticale speling. De framelock zorgt voor een stevige vergrendeling en het is ook soepeltjes weer te ontgrendelen. 
Kortom, een dikke tien voor deze Highball XL!
