The X21R. 2 is a large and grand spotlight. The new version X21R. 2 has much more light, compared to the previous model. The 7 LED's have a maximum light output of 3200 lumens. The previous model still lacked 'power', compared to a few competitors. The Led Lenser X21R. 2 compensates plenty for that lag. And on top of this, the spotlight also features a focusable beam. This enables you to tune the bundle wide, for a great review, or to bundle it, for a huge range. The torch uses the X-LENS technology of Led Lenser, which is optimized together with the Advanced Focus System (AFS) to create a bundle as smooth and clear as possible. Compared to other light beams, this beam reminds strongly of a theater spotlight.
The X21R. 2 has a choice ring for the light settings: the Fast Action Switch. This description tells exactly the advantage of this system. It's fast and convenient. With the turning ring you switch quickly between various output modes. Within the different output modes you can choose several options by pressing the switch briefly. This works quick and easy. Ideal under circumstances where you want to keep your focus on other issues than in the operation of your flashlight. You can also choose between 2 Energy Modes and several light programs. With the Smart Light Technology of Led Lenser, this torch is fully customizable to your own needs.
The battery in the X21R.2 is very special. It is equipped with Safety-Ytrion-Cell technology. The main advantages of this battery: the absence of the memory effect, the short charging times and the minimum charging capacity after multiple charging cycles. Even after almost 2000 charging cycles, the capacity is hardly reduced.
The charging condition of the battery can be seen on the ring of blue LED's which is mounted in the back of the torch. Also while charging, it is very clearly marked wheather charging is still in progress or that the battery is full. The same LED's are used to indicate the relative burning time when the torch is in use: by pressing the charging contacts in the back of the torch, more or less of the LED's will light up. This is depending on the light mode on which the torch is set.
