The **Müller Triff-fix Classic-S** is a practical addition to your splitting axe or splitting machine. It was specifically developed to safely and quickly produce kindling inside. The unique design of this axe makes it easy to use. Because of the weight of the head and the gravity, chopping wood is a piece of cake! The hand protection makes it extra safe to work with the Triff-fix. The handle is made from American Hickory wood. This type of wood is incredibly strong and won't break or splinter. This axe was displayed at the World Expo in Shanghai and won the PRIMUS prize.

## How to use the Müller Triff-fix 

  * Place the sharp edge of the Triff-fix in your trunk. 
  * Now lift the whole and hit the axe a couple times to completely split the wood. 

## About Müller 
Müller has been around ever since 1675. The Austrian forge still traditionally produces their axes, but is not afraid of innovation. They do whatever they can to make sure their traditional axes become even better and more user-friendly. It is for a reason that they are beloved by foresters, fire fighters, gardeners and hobbyists.

## Maintaining an axe 
The right maintenance extends the life of your axe. For that reason you should always correctly store your tools. A storage place that is too dry will dry out the handle. However, a storage place that is too humid will make the handle swell which could, in time, damage the fibres of the wood. If you are planning to store your axe for a longer period of time it is wise to protect the cutting surface from rust. All you have to do is apply a little bit of oil or fat on the cutting surface. Afterwards protect the edge with, for instance, a sheath and you are good to go.
