TheSilky Katanaboy 500-5 extra course, black is a very large folding saw. It will bring hard to reach branches within reach. The folding saw is named after the Japanese Katana sword, partially because its unique blade length of 50 cm. Like the Katana the Katanaboy has a soft metal core. As a result it is very flexible and properly takes hold of the wood. The hard outside of the blade ensures that the blade will stay sharp for a long time.
Silky Katanaboy 500-5: saws like no other
The teeth on the blade have been sharpened and are, therefore, extremely strong. The chromium on the blade prevents resin accumulation. As a result rust won’t stand a chance. With four teeth per three cm the serrations can definitely be called extra coarse. Tree trunks and large branches won’t stand a chance against this folding saw. The comfortable rubber handle offers sublime grip regardless of the circumstances and absorbs vibrations.
The Silky Katanaboy has been enhanced with a solid and safe lock. Unlock the blade by loosening the screw and press it down to open the blade. A clicking sound will indicate that the blade has been opened the right way. Complete the locking system by securing the screw.
This saw is a pull saw which means that the blade will not bend when you use it. Make sure that when the blade moves forward it is never forced because you will risk breaking it. Always lift the weight off the blade to release the saw. As with any saw: let the saw do the work and don’t force it. As a result you won’t get tired as fast and you won’t wear out the saw. The way you hold the handle determines how much wood you cut. Holding your hands close to the blade means that you put less pressure on the blade. As a result you can saw more precisely and more focused. When you hold the back of the handle the pressure will increase making you saw faster but less precise.
The Silky blade needs to be kept clean to make sure it stays in great shape. Resin dissolves when it comes into contact with olive oil which makes it an effective, environmentally-friendly product you can use to clean the blade. Please note: aggressive detergents can damage the rubber handle.
When you don’t use the saw you should put it in its storage case and store it somewhere dry.
