The **Spyderco Alcyone** is a cool pocket knife for everyday use, designed by Sal Glesser. The checkered pattern in the handle immediately stands out. This is a layer in the G10, just below the surface. G10 is a composite material made from glass fibres and synthetic resin. Incredibly strong and light-weight. Ideal for a knife handle.


The Alcyone is very versatile. Opening boxes and letters, but also preparing meals and peeling an apple is what the Alcyone excels at. Because of its weight you will barely notice that you are carrying it with you. The name Alcyone comes from Greek mythology. The brightest star from the Pleiades cluster is named after Alcyone.


The blade is made from American CTS-BD1 steel. A stainless type of steel that can easily be sharpened and retains its sharpness well. When opened the blade is kept in place by a solid liner lock. The handle has been enhanced with four safety options for the pocket clip. As a result this pocket knife can also be used by left-handed users.


With the Acyone Sal Glesser has once again introduced an amazing knife. A star that needs to shine bright.
