Spyderco Ouroboros C207GP pocket knife, Paul Alexander design
The Spyderco Ouroboros is a remarkable pocket knife, designed by Paul Alexander. The design is definitely not common. When closed nothing really stands out. However, when you open the Ouroboros with the characterizing thumb hole you will immediately notice how special the ratio between blade and handle is. Especially the difference in height is remarkable. Your index finger falls inside the large finger groove just behind the blade. It almost resembles a kitchen knife. The rest of your fingers almost automatically wrap around the handle. Because of its shape and ergonomics we believe this knife is also great for skinning game.
The blade is made from VG10-steel. A stainless Japanese type of steel that is also very popular amongst kitchen knives. Retains its sharpness well and can easily be sharpened. Perfect when you use this knife on a daily basis. When opened a solid compression lock keeps the blade in place. This innovative lock is designed by Sal Glesser, founder of Spyderco. Perfect to use with one hand and at the same time very strong.
