The **Victorinox SwissTool Spirit XC** is the baby brother of the SwissTool. The Spirit has 38 functions. Completely made from stainless steel and polished. The Spirit comes with a nylon sheath with belt loop. With this solid sheath you can easily hang the SwissTool from your belt. The closure is made from Velcro and therefore easy to open. In this sheath you can easily store your multi-tool and take it with you.

 The main advantage of the Victorinox multi-tools is that all tools are easily accessible without first having to open the pliers. When opened the tools are immediately locked. As such the tool can never close when you don't want it to, also making it perfect for heavy-duty tasks. This work horse will regularly come in handy. At home, at work or outside in nature.

 ## SwissTool Spirit XC Plus collection

 This version of the SwissTool Spirit XC plus collection comes with a bit-kit and a wrench. It is also enhanced with a corkscrew with a mini screwdriver. You can all store in the sheath behind the multi-tool.

## SwissTool X versus SwissTool Spirit XC

The main difference between these two models is the design and the size. The X is a little more angular, robust and larger. The handle of the X is also enhanced with a ruler. The Spirit XC is a lot slimmer, smaller and the design is more elegant. Finally, the X has a smooth blade and the Spirit XC a serrated knife with a blunt tip. Other than that the multi-tools are fairly similar.

## Most important tools

 
 * **Pliers**
 
 You open the pliers by opening the handles. The beak has been enhanced with small serrations that offer you additional grip. The tip is relatively small for precise tasks, such as bending fish hooks. The spine of the beak is curved to make sure you can easily move around in tight corners and bend a wire with ease. The pliers has been enhanced with a wire cutter and wire stripper. The wire cutter is also great for cutting small sticks and stems. Good pliers come in handy more often than you might think. 
 * **Large knife**
 
 The large knife is razor-sharp and has a cutting edge of no less than 6 cm. Once opened the knife will immediately be locked. As such the tool can never close when you don't want it to, also making it perfect for heavy-duty tasks. When opening and closing the blade you hear a familiar click. The knife is very solid and perfect for outdoor and survival purposes. 
 * **Wood saw**
 
 The solid teeth cover approximately 6.5 cm of the saw blade. Branches the size of a wrist are therefore easy to get through. The saw is thin. The spine is approximately 1.3 mm thick and the teeth 1.5 mm thick. Because the spine is smaller than the teeth the saw won't get stuck in the wood and it limits friction. In addition to living wood this saw can handle pallets and shelves. When gardening and working around the house the Spirit is a true life-saver! 
* **File**

The file has three sides you can use. One side that functions as a metal file, a rougher side for softer metals and a side that functions as a metal saw. This is the narrow base of the file and it is perfect when sawing screws or nails in half.

Niet goedkoop, maar wel een zeer degelijke multitool, ik kan niet anders zeggen. Mooi afgewerkt en voelt zeer solide aan. Ik heb gekozen voor de haakse bithouder(wrench)i.p.v. van de ratel (ratchet) gezien het prijsverschil. Echter, de bithouder functioneert prima.   

De Tool is prachtig afgewerkt, en voelt stevig aan. Alle onderdelen zijn goed te openen. Eén nadeel was de losse kurkentrekker met minischroevendraaier. Doordat deze aan de zijkant in het foedraal zit bestaat de mogelijkheid dat hij eruit valt.
