The **Wüsthof Classic Ikon white steak knife 12 cm** is, as the name might already suggest, perfect when cutting a nice piece of steak. This knife is enhanced with a cream coloured handle. The edge is not enhanced with serrations, but is simply razor-sharp. Exactly the way a top-quality steak knife should be. 

## The blade


Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method, and polished by hand. This type of steel is also easy to sharpen.


Another advantage of this blade is the crop. It doesn’t extend all the way to the edge, but does separate the handle from the blade. As such you not only keep your fingers safe, you can also use the entire edge. Also great when you want to sharpen the knife.


## The handle


The handle is made from rock-solid POM. This is a shock, heat and acid proof material you can easily clean. Perfect for kitchen knives. The steel of the blade seamlessly merges with the handle. This is not only a rock-solid connection; it also provides great balance. Combined with the ergonomic shape this knife feels amazing in hand.

This Wusthof IKON steak knife is perfect in every way. I looked at other makes in various stores but they did not feel right in my hand. This knife does. Perfectly balanced, the cutting blade is extremely sharp and cuts meat effortlessly. No sawing action with this beauty! Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
