Top Manufacturer for Damascene blades, this is a model with a modest number of 69 layers and and just 2 HRC numbers below their hardest steel (Ran has HRC 61). This makes a very high quality knife at a modest price. Balance in the hand is very good, flawless workmanship, nice packaging. If you are looking for quality and value for money, not for prestige then this will be a good choice
