The model S1 is the right alternative for scouts and mountain hikers who want the highest quality at the lowest weight.  
  

For hunting and fishing too, this knife is excellent, either one is knocking the life out of a pike or cleaning a moose or deer.  
  

The blade - 13 centimetres long, has a certain chopping capability, and the five millimetre thick blade in specially tempered laminate VG10 steel will withstand heavy use.  
  

One might add that Mod. S1 is the world's first stainless sheath knife with a convex-ground edge.

Good quality knife in vg10w. Cuts smoothly and holds an edge well, should last a long time if looked after properly, good pairing with an F1.
Leather sheath is well made and retains the knife as it should.

Très déçu de ce couteau. Après 15 jours d'utilisation domestique (en cuisine) occasionnelle, de nombreuses ébréchures sur le fil de la lame. S'agit il d'un  problème de fabrication ? Où est la qualité et dureté de cette lame ?

Super degelijk mes, vind zelf de leren sheath heel goed. Blijft nergens achter hangen en valt er niet zomaar uit.
Zeer betrouwbaar mes, makkelijk te slijpen en is niet snel bot.
Is prijzig maar gaat ontzettend lang mee als je er goed voor zorgt.

Ich nutze das Messers regelmäßig zum Bushcrafting. Liegt gut und angenehm in der Hand, nicht zu schwer und nicht zu Lang (für mich die Perfekte länge momentan). Das Messer ist sehr scharf und durch den Convex-schliff auch sehr robust. Praktisch ist es auch nicht rostend was mir sehr wichtig ist.

Einzig der doch sehr hohe Preis trübt die Bewertung etwas.

Ich empfehle es aber wirklich jedem der ein top Qualitätsprodukt sucht,  es eist ein super Allround-Outdoormesser aus einem erstklassigen high-end Stahl!

P.S. der VG-10 Stahl ist auch relativ leicht zu schärfen.

Dit mes is in essentie  Amerikaanse bowie maar met de Japanse convex grind en Japans staal.
Het enigste minpuntje wat ik kan verzinnen is dat het handvat net wat ronder en net  dikker mocht.
