It is a quality knife but it is not for me. I don't like all the "Pro serie" it is INSANELY HEAVY (a nonsense heaviness that HAVE NO PURPOSE). For "Survival" his weight PUT ME OFF, i wouldn't carry it. I don't like to use it FOR ANY USE; it is just not comfortable to me AT ALL. I will sell, of gift it, for sure... ...But i like the "Classic serie" (in VG10); the "STANDARD S1 is the one i like the most" (i have yet to see someone brake it...). Usually if i have "one knife" with me; it is an S1 "Classic" in VG10. The steel retain an edge better than VG10... BUT... To me it is "less balanced"; i mean VG-10 is way easy to take care off... Far more easy... This new steel is like (in performances and maintenance) the N690 (a "modified 440C"); i bet that is cheaper than VG-10...
