The Helle Harding is a stylish and traditional Scandinavian hunting knife. The handle is made of wavy dark oak and birch wood, and a few layers of leather. The handle is hand shaped, polished and oiled to give it its unique character. The blade is full-tang, which means that the steel runs through to the end of the handle. The blade has a solid core of stainless steel, laminated between two layers of 18/8 stainless steel. This core is sharpened incredibly sharp and is very easy to sharpen yourself.

The knife comes with a traditional Scandinavian sheath, made of leather.

**Maintenance**
When the handle and blade get wet, you should dry them off with a soft cloth. It is also advised to occasionally wax or oil the handle and blade. 
The sheath should be treated every now and then with a colorless liquid (grease or wax) to keep it smooth. When the sheath has become moist it must be carefully dried at room temperature.
 
 
All knives by Helle are made and finished by hand. This can lead to subtle differences and makes each knife a unique masterpiece.

Wonderful knife - perfect in the hand with a great feel and size. Very solid feel but light including the rock solid sheath. Hair shaving sharp right out of the box. My new favourite knife.

Overall a lovely knife blade is outstanding and feels good in the hand. Good size. My only criticism is the handle could be finished better but I'm very pleased with it.
