The NiteCore P20 UV has, as the name implies, a UV function. For example, the UV light can be used to detect stains and such, but also to check for counterfeit money and many other applications. The torch has two switches on the back. One switch is just the tactical switch which we all know. The other switch serves as a mode switch and is also easy to operate with gloves on. By pressing and holding the mode switch you switch directly to the strobe.  
  


The flashlight is equipped with three different operation modes: tactical, law enforcement and general. Each have their own presets for the available light strengths. This ensures that this torch can stand his ground in many different situations.

  
  


3 light modes and strobe:   

On one 18650-battery:  

- Low (70 ANSI lumens, 15 h 30 min)   

- Mid (400 ANSI lumens, 5 h 45 min)   

- High (800 ANSI lumens, 3 h 30 min)   

On two CR123a-batteries:  

- Low (80 ANSI lumens, 8 h)   

- Mid (400 ANSI lumens, 2 h 30 min)

* The indication of the light intensity is according to the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standards. This means that the values may be lower than former values . Naturally, this lower value has no consequence for the light intensity of the torch. The advantage of the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standards is that the values can be compared with each other and give a real picture of the actual light intenstiy.

The torch is great! But the belt holder it comes with is really cheaply made! The velcro came away from the stitching after about a month of purchase.
But the torch is awesome!

Degelijk gebouwde zaklamp, fijne, praktische bediening en veelzijdig geschikt. Al met al een prima ding.
De UV-optie is een 'leuke gadget' en werkt ook redelijk, maar verwacht daar geen wonderen van. De hier gemeten golflengte van het UV-licht was gemiddeld 472 nm (wat aan de hoge kant dus, ik kwam 365 nm tegen als opgegeven waarde bij deze lamp) met ook een vrij grote spreiding. Ook zit er nog aardig wat wit licht doorheen en is het totale UV-vermogen niet zo hoog. Vergeleken met 'goedkope rommel' presteert deze lamp in de UV-stand niet slecht, maar verwacht geen geïntegreerde professionele UV-lamp (daarom 4 ipv 5 sterren bij 'voldoet aan verwachtingen'). Wat echtheidskenmerken in bankbiljetten zien gaat bijvoorbeeld prima, maar een ruimte onderzoeken op sporen wordt lastig met deze lamp; daarvoor biedt hij naar mijn mening te weinig als UV-lamp. 

Voelt heel solide. Perfecte afmetingen. Heel intuitieve bediening.
Uv functie werkt prima. Straal is zowel wijd als ver reikend. 
Ideaal zou zijn voor de prijs als er een batterij bij geleverd zou zitten. 
Had ook leuk geweest om een usb poort in de lamp te hebben voor het opladen.

La lampe fait son travail, les LED UV sont un peu faiblardes, il faut fouiller pour trouver quelques choses avec, l'étui est un peu petit dès que l'on met un accessoire en plus, le stroboscope est bien puissant
