Set of 2 pieces of stainless guide rails to sharpen knives on a whet stone in the correct angle.


Set of 2 stainless guide rails to ease sharpening (kitchen) knives on a water stone. You slide them on the back of your knife and keep a constant angle very naturally. The inside of the guide rails has a plastic insert so that the chance of scratching your knife is minimal. To be sure, you can put a piece of tape on your blade to prevent scratches.  
   


The set consists of 2 guide rails. The big one is for knives with a larger blade, while the small one is used on smaller knives. This provides an optimal sharpening angle. The sharpening angle for this product is approximately 17º degrees. This depends on the height and thickness of the blade.

Internet is fel gekant tegen deze slijphulp. Zogezegd gaat het beter zonder. Na een jaar sub optimaal slijpen probeerde ik dit toch. Het resultaat is verbluffend. Eindelijk krijg ik mijn messen weer zo scherp als toen ze nieuw waren. Dit werkt ongelofelijkbgoed. Dit lukt me gewoonweg nooit met de vrije hand.
Nadelen: 
je kan je hoek niet kiezen
Beide hoeken zijn identiek. Ik heb dus de assymetrie van mijn japanse messen moeten wegslijpen en dat is jammer. 
De hulpjes zelf slijten ook op de stenen dus die ga je af en toe moeten vernieuwen. De hoek verandert er ook door maar blijft wel consistent voor die slijpbeurt.
Geeft niet dezelde hoek bij elk mes, is afhankelijk van breedte lemmet. 
Al bij al super tevreden. Koop ze direct opnieuw als ze versleten zijn. 


Zeer handige hulpjes, zodat je constant dezelfde slijphoek houd.

Werkt perfect. Laat wel krassen achter op het mes, tenzij ik iets fout doe.

1 keer slijpen op grove korrel en 1 zijkant is al weggeslepen.

Ziet er goed en degelijk uit maar het het nog niet gebruikt
