Are your knives in need of sharpening?

With the **Skerper pull-through knife sharpener** you sharpen the edge of your knife in three simple steps. A great sharpening system for those who want to sharpen quickly and efficiently. It is also easy to store thanks to its compact size.

## First use 

If you sharpen a knife for the first time, you may need to adjust the sharpening angle of the knife to the sharpening angle of the sharpener. This sharpener has a sharpening angle of 20 degrees. If you own a knife with an 18-degree sharpening angle, it will take a while for the sharpener to have the desired effect. That is why we recommend moving the knife through the first step first to create the right sharpening angle (approx. 20-50 times). Afterwards continue with the 2nd and 3rd stages to sharpen your knife properly. Once the knife has the right sharpening angle, you only have to pull it through the sharpener, any other time you need to sharpen your knife.

## Quickly and easily sharpen your knife in three steps

The first sharpener (step 1) has a coarse grain with which you reshape the edge of your knife or add the right sharpening angle. The second sharpener (step 2) has a finer grain. With it you restore the sharpness of the edge. The third sharpener (step 3) is made from ceramics. The final step for a great finish! Please note: the Skerper pull-through sharpener cannot be used to sharpen serrated knives or scissors. 

## How to use the Skerper pull-through sharpener 

Make sure the sharpener is located on a stable surface. The non-slip knobs provide you with additional safety as you sharpen your knives. Cover the blade with tape, just above the edge. As such you prevent scratches on the blade. 

Firmly hold the sharpener with your hand. With your other hand, place ‘the heel’ of the knife in the sharpener. With a straight movement, pull the knife towards the tip to sharpen the edge. Repeat this movement several times. You repeat the same process in the 2nd and 3rd stage. Finished? Your knife is sharp again and ready to be used. 

**Tip:** Pull the knife through 'step 3' before or after use. This way you will benefit from a sharp knife for a longer period of time and you will postpone maintenance!

Ik krijg mijn messen niet zo scherp als dat ze net uit de verpakking komen. Het werkt oke. Ik denk als je echt je messen scherp wilt krijgen dat je met een slijpsteen aan de gang moet.

I bought the Skerper Basic pull-through knife sharpener, SM001 because a friend of recommended it to me after they bought one. But I'm very disappointed, it simply doesn't sharpen my knives. I've had much better results with much cheaper sharpeners. Maybe I was just unlucky with this one. Sorry but it's a big NO from me on this item
