Sharpening your knives with the Skerper Basic pull-through sharpener is very simple. Pulling it 10-15 times through each step will get your knife really sharp again! The knife is sharpened at an angle of 20 degrees.
The first step is the coarse diamond wheel. This phase brings the right shape to the edge again. Dull blades often require the edge to be re-shaped. When the edge is in the right shape again, you can go to the second phase. This is the fine diamond wheel. It will get the edge pretty sharp. To finish the sharpening process, pull the knife through the third phase about 10 to 15 times. This is the ceramic wheel. The final phase hardly requires any pressure. The knife only needs to slide over the polishing wheel to finish the edge off. When during use you notice your knife is losing a bit of sharpness, this third step is ideal to give the edge that last bit of sharpness again.
The Skerper Basic pull-through sharpener offers a smooth and cost-effective way to sharpen your knives. Ideal when you don't want to invest the time in manual sharpening, but do like sharp knives!
