The Chaparral is named after a plant in America which survives in the most extreme circumstances. Even if a drought or fire have (almost) destroyed it. Spyderco uses the name for a continuing series of gentleman's knives.  
   


This knife has a luxurious look, with the handle made out of a laminate of carbon and G10. The compact dimensions give the knife a friendly and elegant appearance. The quality of the materials used is very high. The CTS-XHP steel of the blade is a good example of that.  
   


The wire pocket clip is placed on the edge of the handle. This way, the pocket knife falls deep in your pocket.

Mit Abstand mein schärfstes Messer.
Trotz der geringen Größe liegt es geöffnet perfekt in der Hand. Durch den vollen Rücken ist auch die Gewichtsverteilung optimal.
Optik ist ebenfalls sehr wertig.
Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Prachtig mes met een lemmet wat niet al te dik is, daardoor voelt het wat subtieler aan en snijd het makkelijker als  dikkere messen.
Ik vind het mes zeer fraai en erg netjes afgewerkt, vlijmscherp.
qua formaat vind ik het precies goed, 
dit alles in combinatie met de aanschafprijs maakt het een bijzonder mesje.

Das Spyderco Chaparral wirkt edel und ist von sehr guter Verarbeitungsqualität, die Carbonoberfläche ist reliefartig und ausreichend griffig, der Back Lock fixiert die etwas dünne Klinge spielfrei am geschlossen Rücken des Griffes. Alles in Allem macht das Chaparral einen wertigen Eindruck.
