I had been using diamond stones but never felt I was getting the angles right or getting my knives sharp enough. I wanted something easy and foolproof to use so bought this With the worksharp it's so much simpler. Clamp the knife set the angle and go to work. Makes it much faster and easier. I've done most of my knives now and the difference in how clean and sharp the edge is compared to when I was using stones is massive. One thing I'd recommend is to watch the worksharp youtube videos on how to use it, really helpful
