With this Mil-Spec 5040 Type III Paracord, 550, foliage you can do a lot of things. Paracord is the material you use to make a lanyard or wrist strap. Paracord, however, is also great during outdoor activities. Paracord was originally developed for the paratroopers working for the US Army, today it is an indispensable tool for all outdoor enthusiasts. The number 550 in the name represents the tractive force of 550 pounds (approximately 250 kg).
Military Spec Paracord: meets the toughest requirements
Military Spec Paracord, or MIL-C-5040 Paracord adheres to all set military requirements and is therefore used by soldiers and police units. This nylon cord is comprised of a core of seven thin strands, of which the core strand is comprised of three layers of braided strands. The whole is tied together a little tighter than normal paracord, but is still more flexible in use. Mil-spec paracord has a special colour marker in the core of the cord. As such you can distinguish this type of paracord from normal paracord.
