The **Benchmade 756 mPR Micro Pocket Rocket** is a short and solid pocket knife, designed by Shane Sibert. We know him from the Mini Pocket Rocket. This Micro Pocket Rocket is even smaller. The blade is only 4.4 cm and the total length only 12.2 cm.



You don't have to be a genius to know that you only have a limited amount of grip over such a knife. As such the trick is coming up with an, as ergonomic as possible, model. Sibert did this perfectly. Because the handle is slightly thicker there are many ways of wrapping your fingers around the handle.



You open this tiny knife with the flipper. The knife quickly opens and is locked with a reassuring click. The lock used is a framelock, also called a 'Monolock' by Benchmade. It is made from titanium and enhanced with a couple special features. As such the lockbar falls just below the edge of the pivot collar. This prevents overstretching. In the other direction there is also a lock which makes it impossible for the lockbar to move too far alongside the lockface of the framelock.



To make sure you don't end up with a bad working lock in the long run Benchmade combined it with a rotating stop-pin. This enables you to determine how soon or late the framelock is locked. Granted: this is a very technical story, but the enthusiasts will understand the genius of this mechanism.




The use of material is also perfect! The handle is made from titanium and the blade from CPM 20CV. This is a stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well. All in all the Benchmade mPR is an interesting and unique pocket knife. Not only great for your collection, but also meant to be used.
