The **Benchmade Aller 381** is a compact and small pocket knife, designed by Patrick Famin and Eric Demongivert. These French designers were looking for a knife they could take with them wherever they might go, except for the cabin of a plane. The result is the Aller which is French for *to go*. A reference to how you travel the world with this knife in your pocket.

 The Benchmade Aller has a compact blade of only 4.1 cm long. The cutting edge is 3.49 cm. Combine that with the sheepsfoot-blade and you will not scare anyone. You open the blade with the front flipper, the knife does not have a lock. By pushing the front flipper into the handle with your finger behind the blade you keep it in place. A concession to comply to specific weapon laws and regulations. In terms of steel Benchmade selected CPM S30V. A stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well.

 In addition to a practical blade the Aller has more tools to offer. The front flipper has a bottle opener and at the end of the handle you find a protruding backspacer which can be used as a pry-bar or screwdriver. It also contains a holder for micro-bits (4mm).

 This Benchmade Aller Fumer is a special version of the Aller with a cigar cutter. For it the knife is also enhanced with a 'chisel grind' which makes it even more suited to cut cigars. It means that the blade has a one-sided grind. The handle is made from Richlite. A type of paper-micarta.

 The pocket clip on the side of the handle is used to make sure the knife neatly stays inside your pocket. You can also use it as a money clip for cash. Prefer not to use the clip? Simply remove it and replace the screws with the included shorter screws. Also practical when you use the Aller as a keychain knife.

 The Benchmade Aller 381 is a practical pocket knife for everyone who loves to travel or for those who are looking for a knife that isn't too intimidating. For them the Aller is the perfect companion.
