The **Böker Manufaktur Stainless Black 140540** is a top-quality straight razor. Böker has been producing straight razors for over a hundred years and has an excellent reputation in this field. This *straight razor* is made in the Böker workshop in Solingen, Germany. The Böker Stainless Olive is a maintenance-friendly straight razor with a blade made from stainless steel. Many other straight razors are namely made from carbon steel. As such it won't change colour as fast and is not as prone to rust as other straight razors. Its blade height of 5/8" makes it perfect for daily use. Even inexperienced users can easily use this knife.



This straight razor has an *extra hollow* grind with a *ridge*. The extra hollow grind gives you an extremely thin edge which is also a little flexible. This razor is amazing to work with but perhaps not as suited for heavy beard growth. The *ridge* ensures that the spine of the blade is thick enough to be blocked by the handle. In addition, the spine provides support when determining the right sharpening angle while stropping and sharpening.



The handle is made from synthetic, black material. The side is enhanced with the Böker logo. On the blade you will find the characterizing Stainless engraving. On both sides of the tang, in between the edge and the handle, grip serrations were added. As such you have a lot of control over the shaving movements.

For this straight razor Böker used 1.4034 steel. A stainless type of steel that is similar to the 420 types of steel that are known in the pocket knife world. It retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen.
