The **Marttiini Condor Gut Hook** is a traditional Finnish Puukko. These knives were used in Scandinavia as all-rounders. It's suitable for everyday cutting tasks. For example, when hunting or fishing, but even for food preparation or in the home, these knives are very suitable. The large 'belly' of the edge also makes this a great knife when gutting game.

The guthook facilitates precise opening of the abdominal cavity of game, making boning and cleaning more efficient and minimising the risk of damage to internal organs. In addition, a gut hook is also great for cutting rope.

The inspiration for this knife was therefore drawn from the almost 100 years of history and experience in knife making that the Finnish brand Marttiini acquired over the years. The knife features a scandi grind. The scandi grind, as the name suggests, originates from Scandinavia. The scandi grind has been the standard for ages when it comes to outdoor knives, hunting knives and bushcraft knives. In fact, a large v-shaped edge, without any further frills. A scandi grind is easy to manufacture and easy to sharpen at home. A scandi grind is great for wood work. Because the blade is relatively thick, it is very strong and can handle quite a lot.

## Rubber handle

The handle is made of black rubber with a nice texture which offers good grip when using the knife. The end of the handle flares out a bit, which gives the user a better grip when the knife is pulled out of the sheath or in use. 

## Stainless steel blade

The blade is made of stainless 1.4034 / X46Cr13 steel. This is a type of steel that retains its sharpness well and offers good corrosion resistance. It has a hardness of 53.5 to 55 HRC. 

## Leather sheath

The Marttiini Condor Gut Hook comes with a leather sheath. The sheath is black and has a distinct shape. Marttiini's logo has been lasered onto the sheath. The sheath has a leather loop that allows you to attach it to a sheath, for example.
