TM stands for Tiny Monster at NiteCore. In case of the TM36 it is more Monster than Tiny! The deep reflector of the NiteCore TM36 bundles the light into a very tight light beam with a reach of 1100 metres. That is more than a kilometre! The maximum light output of 1800 lumens is provided by one single LED. The energy is delivered by a battery-pack with a capacity comparable to 8 18650-batteries. The TM36 can be mounted onto a stand so you are also able to keep your hands free if that should be useful.
The torch contains a display that provides all important information: the current light setting including the light output in lumens, the battery power, a battery indication, the burning time in hours for the current position and the temperature of the torch. The button next to the display can be used to go through the different settings. The battery power can also be read when the torch is switched off. The display even indicates if the torch is in the lock-out position. All information is always within reach.
A luminous ring is placed around the button which flashes every 3 seconds in standby-position in order to be able to easily find the torch in the dark.
