The **Rough Ryder Dual Backlock** is a remarkable, traditional pocket knife. It is namely enhanced with two identical blades, each with their own backlock. You don't see that every day. In terms of lines it looks a little like a Canoe. And yet it is not completely built according to the Canoe pattern. You open the blades with two hands, and the backlocks ensure that your fingers are safe.

## 440A steel

440A is a fine, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

## Backwoods Bushcrafter handle

The handle is made from 'Jigged Bone'. This is basically cow bone that is enhanced with an interesting texture and colour. Bone, of course, is a natural material. As such small differences in terms of colour and shape, or any other small imperfections may occur. The copper bolsters and liners complete the whole.

Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.
