The **Schrade Shovel Saw Combi** is an incredibly practical outdoor tool filled with usable gadgets and accessories. A true all-rounder if you only want to bring one tool during your hike or survival quest. The tool comes in a nylon bag.

## The Schrade Shovel Saw Combo handle

The copper-coloured handle is made from aluminium and can be opened on both ends. If you open the base of the handle you will find a firesteel. The firesteel is secured in a small handle which also serves as an emergency whistle. This means you can replace the firesteel if need be. If you open the top cap you will find a plastic tube that hides fishing wire, hooks and two lead weights. The entire handle is hollow and if you secure the caps on both ends the handle is also waterproof. Great for tinder or a map. At the base of the handle you will find a compass. 

## The Schrade Shovel Saw Combo 

The shovel itself is just as usable as the handle. Made from 3CR13 steel with a black coating. This type of steel is not extremely hard, but very tough making it perfect for a tool that needs to hold its own. This shovel is not razor-sharp, but sharpened on both sides. One side is partially serrated to cut through tree roots, or a piece of rope. The shovel is also enhanced with a 7 cm ruler, bottle opener and two openings to secure 10 and 8 mm hexagonal bolts and nuts. And it also functions as a shovel!

The saw is what it is. A saw. This time without any fancy additions. Also made from 3CR13 steel with a black coating. The teeth cut both sides. As such the saw functions when you push or pull it. Both the shovel and the saw easily, quickly and securely turn on the upper screw wire of the handle.

Gekauft und direkt zum Einsatz gekommen. Sehr stabil und vielseitig. 

A well thought out, good quality product. Sure, it's made in China but it seems robust enough to give many years service. Probably not designed for serious camping in the bush, but perfect as a backup, and not too heavy or bulky to carry in a backpack on a day hike.
