The **Yaxell Ketu nakiri 16.5 cm** is a stylish Japanese vegetable knife. The nakiri can be found in almost every Japanese kitchen. The high and square blade is great when quickly cutting vegetables, fruit and herbs. The high blade allows you to safely guide the blade along your knuckles while chopping. This is, without a doubt, the knife you use to finely cut carrots, cucumber, cabbage and any other types of vegetables.

## Yaxell Ketu blade

The blade of the Yaxell Ketu knife consists of three layers. Two layers of stainless steel on the outside, enveloping a core of SG2 powdered steel. This is a very hard steel with a hardness of as much as 63 HRC! As such, you can sharpen the knife to razor-sharpness. The blade has a hammered finish. In Japanese, this finish is called Tsuchime. It is a traditional and artisanal Japanese finish originally created by the blacksmith's hammer. 

## Yaxell Ketu handle

The handle is made from pakkawood. It uses beech wood as its base and features a stunning black and gold-brown colour. Pakka wood is a laminate made of thin layers of wood impregnated with a strong synthetic resin. As such, it is very strong. So perfect for the handle of a knife. Thanks to the round shape of the handle, the knife feels great in hand. A decorative mosaic pin and an engraving at the end of the handle make it even more elegant.
