The **Benchmade Narrows 748BK-01 Black DLC M390, Black Titanium** is strong, lightweight and thin. And when we say thin, we mean wafer-thin. The handle is a mere 7 mm thick! As such the Benchmade Narrows is the thinnest production pocket knife of this size, ever. The advantage of this thin design is that the knife hardly takes up any room in your pocket and will simply disappear in your EDC pouch. The result is also that the knife only weighs 85 grams.

Any Benchmade enthusiast will immediately see that the locking mechanism is different from that of other Benchmade knives. With the 748 Narrows Benchmade introduces a new version of the AXIS lock. They divert from the traditional design by eliminating the steel liners and the famous omega springs. Instead, a sleek, textured latch and a torsion spring construction are used. This new lock not only adds to the slim design of the knife, it also increases the aesthetic appeal.

The slim handle is made from 6AL4V titanium, a light-weight and incredibly strong material. The blade of the 748 Narrows is made from 2 mm thin M390 steel and is enhanced with a droppoint-style blade with a subtle swedge. M390 is known for its excellent sharpness retention and corrosion resistance. As such it is not surprising at all it is one of the most popular types of steel for daily use for years. The blade is enhanced with a DLC coating (Diamond Like Coating).

All in all, the 748 Narrows is a future-minded folding knife with which Benchmade places the emphasis on ultra-light usability, without ever losing sight of style and quality.
